I am looking at lights and have settled on Hydra HD’s however, would 3 x 26’s would be better than 2 x 52’s?

My thought is that I would possibly get better spread with three spread over a 120 tank (48x24x24).

Cheers!!

Do you have braces across the top of the tank. If so how many and whete are they located?

In that case i would go with the 2 52's. That 2ay nothing is blocking the lights

One HD 52 will provide more light then required to do any SPS at 24 x 24 x24 these lights will fool you the par is really outrageous.

I had 3 in a 72 x24 x 30 and never went over 70 percent

Good to know thank you. I have read about 11”-12” off the water. Is that about where you had them?

I jad mine at 10" awl. Slightly deeper my tank was. But that is something you will need to play with. All tanks are different slightly.
