I need a sump!!

Hey everyone! I really would like to install a sump on my 40 gallon breeder withing the next few weeks. I have looked into many of the DIY options but to be honest, I suck at making things from scratch and being in college I have almost no access to any equipment aside from a screw driver. With that being said I am looking for a 20 gallon sump to put on my tank. I was wondering if anyone has a spare one laying around or would like to build me one and I could buy it from you? It would still beat the $250 I would need to spend on a premade sump. If there is anyone who would like to help me out send me a message! Thanks!! Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!

Get you a 20L ( if you have a petco near wait on the dollar a gallon sale $20.00) a caulking gun ( 3 t0 5 bucks) get a tube of GE 100% silicone 1 ( about $10.00) find a local glass company and have them cut your dividers 1/4 glass ( 20 to 30 dollars ). A little elbow grease and maybe $60.00 and you have a great sump. Merry Christmas!

What is your tank set up like now? What do you plan to use for an overflow? Are you going to buy an overflow or have your tank drilled? What are you planning to do with your sump? Refugium and skimmer, or biopellet reactor and skimmer??? Depending on how you want to set up your system there are some cheap options that will work fine with just a sump with no baffles.

I am just looking to upgrade my hang on back 70 gallon filter system. If I get a few more fish in my tank the bio-load may be too much for the HOB I have. I would like to throw in a skimmer and a possible refugium. I will need to build an overflow and a return as well but those seem easier to build.
