My coral beauty has white lips and eyes are cloudy, but also has ich. All I have for a QT is a 15 gallon tall. I put him in. But now I have a different issue.... I have three clownfish (one was living in the QT until I got a home for her). Now I have her in a breeder. I feel bad for her. I also have three damsels, pj cardinal, tuxedo urchin, arrow crab and a goby. I know my DT needs to be fallow for 72(?) days.... is hate to have to put them all in the 15 gallons but that’s all I have! What do I do? And I will firstly be treating for ich and seeing if that helps the beauty’s eye and mouth. I’m pretty sure it’s ich, I think of it was velvet that the whole tank would be done for. I’ve never seen flukes, but from a google search I’m sure it’s not that either! The dots are tiny. I feel like I’m in over my head right now and I’m freaking out a little. The pictures are from my DT, and also what do you recomend I treat with?

Hi, looks like ich, cloudy eyes are also could be from ich. You don't have to remove your inverts just fish.

Rubbermaid totes can be used as a QT if you don't want to put them all in the 15. They may not be much more gallon wise but the larger footprint should help with aggression. I have plenty of Copper Power if you happen to be near Baton Rouge this weekend.

I have an ice chest I can use and some 5 gallon buckets also.
Do I need to take all snails and crabs out of the DT as well?
Do I need to keep a heater on my DT? If so I’ll have to wait a couple days so I can order another heater from amazon. I’m a little broke, I only really have like $26 which I’m gonna use at the LFS today and start treating the coral beauty asap because he’s the only one showing signs so far, but I do have an amazon credit card which is why I’d have to buy a heater on there unless I can take the one out of my DT while it sits fallow.

@Courtney Dudoussat All corals/inverts remain in the DT; only the fish need to be removed & treated in QT.

During the fallow/fishless period in your DT (6 weeks for velvet), continue to operate normally. Run lights, heaters, pumps, etc.

Your snails, Crabs and other inverts will be fine in the DT. Velvet hosts on fish, but you will need to be fallow for 6 weeks. Be careful, when I had a velvet outbreak it took all my fish fast, some died before obvious symptoms showed up. Don't assume your other fish are fine, if it's in your DT then your other fish will be affected. This was my experience when I delt with it.

Having just experienced my first bout of velvet after so many years in this hobby I don't think you want to wait a couple days. It moves FAST! No need to remove snails and crabs. Can you borrow a heater for QT?

Also, even those not showing outward signs could have their gills already packed with them and die before even showing external signs. I understand finance limitations, but do all you can to beg and borrow as you can. Also, what is the ambient temp of your house? The snails and crabs may be fine for a bit until you can get the heaters you need covered. Best of luck though!!! Humblefish calmed me down enough I managed to save a foxface I thought for SURE was beyond help, so if you can follow the advice of those here you'll come out much better.

One last question. I went to LFS and he gave me some medicine.... he told me it was fine to put them all in there, I’m just worried about the third clown now because that WILL be a fight. Can I leave him in the hob breeder box? It’s uses the water from my tank, so that should be fine right? Just want to make sure he gets meds too

Breeder box would definitely be better than nothing. I had to qt 3 clowns together (they're still in qt) so I stuck one in an acclimation box. Toss a piece of PVC in there for it. They'll likely "fence fight" at first and periodically, but it'll be fine.
