Hello
I recently did these icp-oes tests and I wanted an opinion / help on some values found
the management of the pre test tank was very simple I noted any change in management since the aquarium started
no change of water in the last 2 months and a half, only fish food, algae filter with chaetomorpha, calcium reactor

from the tests the most obvious values are a high value of aluminum in the tank while it is not present in RO water, and I do not use any kind of resin

and a high copper value in the osmosis and in the tank is reduced
I also can not give weight to other values which may be the most problematic for corals (its a full sps tank)

Where does aluminum come from? Which component of the osmosis system is the one that removes copper?

Aluminum oxide po4 remover, and denitrifying bricks are sources of aluminum.

Sources of copper are metals, condensing pipes dripping into the tank, electric cables with splits, brass fittings after ro water.

Both the RO and the DI remove copper, and there should not be much in 0 ppm TDS RO/DI. Was the water 0 ppm TDS?

I'm not generally a fan of these tests of RO/DI, and I would not assume the copper necessarily came through the RO/DI. It would seem rather unusual for it to be the only detectable ion. It also may not be the main source of copper in the display tank. Finally, it may not be high enough in the display tank to be a problem, but I would make sure you do not have any metal parts at all in the display tank or in the RO/DI container, or corroding above it, broken heaters, pumps, frayed cords, etc., and that the water is always 0 ppm TDS.

In terms of the aluminum, do you have leather corals? How do they look? You use no white media of any type?

I do not use any kind of resins for po4 or denitrifying bricks in sump i have only skimmer ,calcium reactor and active carbon sack

I'm quite manic with RO measured values were tds 000ppm and electric conducibility 000 microsiemens
the osmosis system is composed of all plastic components as regards the tank I can control the whole technique to see if I have bare wires or anything else
this is the tank

What about frag plugs or epoxy putty you got in there? Nice tank btw :)

Thank you
do you mean the frags on the "frag station"( i dont know the name in english)?

hi these days I checked the whole technique I did not find any bare wire or rust stains

one thing that instead known that I do more and more case is that when I buy turbo snails with a beautiful shell covered with coralline time 4-5 days and these coralline become white and so also for those few coralline I have in the tank.
what does this phenomenon depend on?

Bleached corraline algae can be a lot of things but generally its unknown.

Snails sometimes have this happen because their shells can stick up out of the water and the coralline dies.
