No idea what this is. Hair algae? Just got done with battling Dino’s

Is this a new tank setup? When my tank first cycled, I first got dinos then this, which in my case was the beginnings of the hair algae. Check your phosphates. Mine were pretty high so added phosgaurd and most of the hair alage cleared up. Also, what size tank?

Yes it’s new. About 4-5 months old now. It’s a 150. I’ll check parameters today, since I’ve been putting them off for too long now

Nice. Yeah I would definitely check levels, but from my experience, I think this is just a natural part of the cycling ... unfortunately.. Tends to look ugly as the cycle continues then magically it's not ugly anymore
