Its very tough and when scrubbing it off acts just like coraline algae, rather flakes off. It was only growing on my back wall but now it's spreading to my glass where my magnet cleaner can't remove it.

It isn't a fast grower so my concern level is low but I would still like to know what I'm dealing with

It’s still coralline, it can be a multitude of colors. Green is very common.

I'd be way more concerned about tons of snails than a little bit of encrusting algae. One will harm corals, the other will not.
I don't know where you are seeing vermetid snails as there are zero in my tank, those are spirorbid worms harmless filter feeders that reside in calcium carbonate tubes.

So did a quick search on green coraline and it seams people are very split on this. Some say coraline comes in many colors including greens others say it's another type of algae not coraline while even a few people claim their green algae turned purple. Yikes

Coralline comes in many shades and colors, and one of the fastest growing encrusting coralline species likely to be encountered in aquaria are green in color and may make you think you have a type of nuisance algae growing on your rocks. Some do say it will or may turn purple.

if I had to make a bet I would say green coralline algae is Walmart you have.

spirobids and come off easily with an old credit card as a scraper

Don't have a microscope but I took a better pictures

Here's the best picture I found online of green coralline algae. To be honest I didn't think it came in green.

Definitely alot less vibrant which makes me a bit doubtful but it does appear to have the same growth pattern and overall look

Mine is not vibrant green. Looks same as you have. A dull light green.
