Hi everyone

I have checked the parameters today and the results are as the following. Could you please let me know if these parameters are good?

NO3 >4ppm around 7ppm

PO4 0.03ppm

dKH 8.0

Mag 0.17 1245ppm

Calcium 420ppm

NH3 0.02 (total ammonia 0.2)

I have Duncan, Acropora, Favia they are doing well but Kenya and Monti are not happy and seem dying?

Can you let me know why please?

So ammonia should be 0 and nothing higher as in a cycled tank that should not be expected. What test kit are you using, its possible you got a false positive.

Also you magnesium is a little lot which could be a sign of swinging alkalinity and calcium.

To be honest the parameter you provided are only as good as they are stable. If these parameters are not stable, they take the toll on coral.

Marine critters LOVE stability and that goes triple for corals.

Your parameters look pretty good.

Also, since you have only frags, your corals probably are not consuming much or any ALK or Ca.

One indictor that your system is ready for hard corals is if you have decent and annoying coralline algae growth.

I use Redsea for ammonia. Redsea for No 3 and po4. The rest are Salifert.
