Hard to tell from the pics. I see what looks like a feather duster and maybe a sponge in the first one ..... and really can't tell what the 2nd one is showing .... the area right in the center? Almost looks like part of a coral skeleton - but if it's alive and growing I'm guessing a sponge again! A sharper and/or bigger photo might help .....

+1 to the sponge in the first pic. The second does look like a skeleton to me as well. But like what was already said if its growing its a sponge.

sorry it was there.. let me try again... i find it hard because it tellls me that the file is too large... i used my regular digital camera

Really hard to tell in the picture .... but I'm gonna have to say sponge again by what I can see!

Thank you.... any suggestions on how to get a good picture? I just use my digital and most of the time it says file too large.. Thanks Deb

This looks like a stressed mushroom

Now that you say that, I've got to agree ..... the gray area I was thinking more sponge but bet you're right - a mushroom kinda curled on itself!

Thank you.... any suggestions on how to get a good picture? I just use my digital and most of the time it says file too large.. Thanks Deb

Should have something on your computer that you can open the picture file in and resize to your specs? Even without any special photo software you can usually resize an image with stock photo viewers on either the pc or mac... Or maybe get a photobucket account or something that you can use to edit/resize? Some cameras will allow you to size the pics too ....
