So, I have an odd situation. My inline TDS meter batteries went dead so I replaced them. Dont know what my readings were before.

Now, I'm getting odd results. Reading 2 going into first di, 4 coming out. Both have color change mixed resin, not looking used up. I swapped the two di cartridges around, same results. I then changed resin in one and ran it in Both positions, same results.

So, do these inline units go bad, need calibrating or anything? Or is something else going wrong?

There is a way to calibrate some of them. That’s likely the issue here based on the tests you’ve done IMO.

If it’s a HM digital TDS meter they can be calibrated.. I would suggest contacting manufacturer about your issue before attempting.

The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I think the easiest thing to do is replace them and also get a hand held meter from amazon.

they are a pain to calibrate properly. you might as well get a thigh quality handheld. the inline meters aren’t very good anyhow.
