Is my frogspawn self fraging

Hi all
Noticed abit of skeleton dropping from my frogspawn ....is it self fraging ?
It's been like this for a few weeks but it's still very healthy
The pic are from lights off with one from lights on just so you can see how it looks

To make it short, No.. most likely something damaged the frogspawn which caused the skeleton to fracture off. Any tissue attached will most likely not survive and the mother colony will eventually reform the broken skeleton.
 
Agreed. They don't normally split this way. Normally, you see small baby heads forming on the "trunk" and they start growing. This coral doesn't split like Candy Cane does.
