Is this a barnacle?

I saw this on a snail shell and thought it was Aiptasia. It retreats into a small shell and completely closes

Is it a barnacle?

Looks like a majano anemone. Is it?

Barnacles look like a small clawed hand that comes in and out. Cannot really tell from the picture,.

Try removing the shell from your DT and taking a picture of it in a shallow dish.

It sounds like it could be either a duster worm or an anemone. Obviously too big for hydroids
