After five months of not openning, I gave up hope for a Toadstool frag. Noticed this brown spot on the back of it the other day. Is it finally dying?

What is that coral next to it? That could be contributing to its unwillingness to open.

Its a Duncan. It was closed for months before I moved it to where it ia now

I would try you bump that Alk up a little and lower the Phos for sure. I use Brightwell 8.3 for alk and PH. Speaking of PH, what is yours at? Also what test kits are you using?

I use Red Sea Coral Pro salt that keeps the PH pretty stable at around 8.3 or so and I test with Salifert

There is about 2 inches of space between them when the duncan is fully extended

I would move it and observe. Looks to be too close to the other coral.

I'll give it a try. Its looking worse today
