is this mushroom spawn?

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all doing well during these tough times! I recently have noticed this growth of "slime" looking material emanating from my blue mushrooms. I wonder if this could be new spawning or some sort of algae?

I haven't seen many pictures online of it, so it has me slightly worried, but the shape looks like a new mushroom would..

Thanks for the response. Looking at pictures it does seem to look like a sponge.

I would agree with it being a sponge, Rhodactis reproduce by splitting which wouldn't look like this and none of my Discosoma's emerging babies have had the "pipe" like your pic does. My sponges, on the other hand, look just like that lol.
