Is this normal for Acans

I have this one Acan that just looks so out of place with the rest. My other Acans get fluffy but this one has huge polyps that really extend and overlap each other. One single polyp is larger than the other multi headed acans. It just doesn't have that form factor that you'd expect.

I'm hoping this little garden will fill in with some nice mini colonies but I may move this one because it just doesn't seem to fit

Looks good to me. my Acans puff up like that and shrink sometimes. I think they are just loving life. Mine puffed up more when it grew more polys. It was much smaller as a single polyp.

They all puff up but this one is just so different. Looks out of place compared to the rest

This one may just need it's own rock

I suspect these are separate species, perhaps cousin-acans. I've noticed that some of these are puffier than others.

They may need to be on different rocks when the get big they may compete for space and crowd out each other in that process.

They look nice!

Kind of what I was thinking. Like a sub species or something.

To me it also more resembles my blastos than my other acans

Wondering if anyone else is seeing these acans with the extra large polyps. This one continues to pop out jumbo polyps. A single polyp is larger than all of my other multi head colonies.
