IS this stuff bad?

Part of the problem is they will comeback after being plucked......I have some that I am battleing with. I might just get some new rock.....There is one type of nudibranch that will eat them and is for sale every now and then but I haven't seen one for sale in a long time...

Yeah that's the one i remember looking at a site that was breeding them to sell but since i can't go to RC i can't look it up. That sucks

looks like anethilia to me the are many varitys they dont sting but can take over the rocks and smother corals your varity should be easy to rid though ive used "apatasia control" works great on most anything just turn flow off so it dosnt blow it of and let sit for 1/2 hour there goners ive used on most encrusting soft corals that are geting outa hand in clients tanks.

Ok I looked on RC about Hydroids and they had a lot of pic's all were coming out of tubes, I do have a few of these, but in the pic's I posted with the feather type things all over the rock, I have ruled out hydroids, they just must be some type of anethilia, now they have grown out of control and I did have a lot of corals glued to the rock that had then and they didn't kill any polyps so I think I can rule out hydroids, unless they wouldn't kill the polyps?

The very worst thing you can do with aptasia is scrub it off the rock. It will turn into hundreds of them. If it is a small infestation peppermint shrimp will do or a long nose butterfly. I have seen bad infestations to where they had to bleach the rock!! Thank you!!!
