Original frag purchased about 6 months ago. It did awesome for the longest time then it started to pale out and eventually the polyps went away. I thought it was a gonner for sure. Seemed like an easy enough coral to keep.

A couple weeks ago I relocated it in case something was bothering it. Now the polyps are coming back but the color remains very very pale. The strange part is it continues to grow and has gotten a little bigger since this all started.

Too much light maybe? I don't know.

Here's a couple pics for reference ...

It had NO polyps at all a week ago. Think it will come back? :(

I run 2x250 Phoenix 14K MH for 8 hours/day. Suppliment with a single T5 54w actinic for 10 hours/day. Don't really need it but I like the actinic look at night.

The coral is at the bottom of the tank. The tank is a pretty heavily stocked SPS tank with a medium to heavy bio load. OK OK I have WAY too many fish for a tank that size! (120g)

All params are within my acceptable ranges. I use an ACIII and a CA reactor to keep things stable. No swings in Alk or CA to speak of. I check params bi-weekly and keep a data log using Aquanotes to reference back and compare trends. I also run GFO and carbon changing them out monthly.

Every couple of months or so I start a "post your params here" thread on my local club. Kind of a neat way to remind myself (and others) to check their tanks.

how do all your other sps/monti's look compared to the undata?

do they all look pretty decent color wise?

Absolutely. All acros and montis are doing awesome. I'll try and snap an FTS tonight and post it. I can never really get a good pic but I'll try.

Please leave a coral in a area for atleast a week to see how it acclimates to its surrounding. I had my undata do the same thing. I finally epoxed it mid level (3x250 and 2x160 VHO) and mid flow and its doing alot better. Good luck
