JBJ ATO Question

So I have been looking into purchasing an ATO or making one DIY. I found a couple of JBJ ATO systems. I have a JBJ 45g AIO nano tank, so the options were the JBJ Nano ATO or the JBJ automatic top off controller. I like that the controller has two float valves for added protection but the nano ato is much smaller which is better.

Does anybody have first hand experience with either or just any inputs on selection??

Have you looked at Aqua duetto ato’s? I have a jbj 30 gallon rimless and That’s what I am using with no issues - works well with the AIO back section on the jbj’s

I have and that is what I will be purchasing if both of these get bad feedback. I just managed to find the JBJ ATO's at about a third of the price.

I had the JBJ with two floats. Was a piece of junk for me. It would fail to top off (electronics problem). Had to program the controller to remove and reapply power multiple times a day to get it to top off until I could get a Tunze 3155 installed. Besides that, I've learned over time a float switch is the worst device to rely on for controlling anything.

Well, I guess that just leaves it to the possibility of the Nano top off, which is electronically controlled. I am only worried that it doesn't seem to have a great fail safe option
