So while performing maintenance on my nano I accidentally plugged my return pumps power cord (aqua medic DC1.2) into the wave maker power (jebao sw-2) power cord. Now the controller will turn on but will
Immediately turn off when wave maker is connected.

It's not that big a deal as they are small
And cheap equipment that's kinda why I like them if they fail I can buy more very easily. But just couldn't imagine this alone would blow a wavemaker especially when the controller seems to work without the pump itself being connected to the controller.

Not sure what happened. But you could try rewiring it and use a small power supply to see if it will start. If it doesnt the pumps fried.

You can also do a electrical test. Cant remeber the name. But on a multimeter it should make a beep sound if you hook up the point of sale and neg and do the test. If it doesnt theres a short.

That's a good idea
