I have a Nuvo 16 and two Koralia nano' is more than enough You will have a sand storm with more powerful flow
IMO the tittle is a bit off on the discussion in this thread.
Jeabo will scare off some experience hobbyist, again I said "some".
In general what pump can do the job if any pump can do the job?
Why not a MP10 QD or a used MP10 that you can find sometimes on here for $100 or less.
That said why not going even cheaper...............
I had very good results in anything under 20G Nano with a rotating nozzle on the return pump, as long you don't have a constant flow in one direction any coral will do good.

For less than $25 on a advanced or less than $10 for a simple piece you can't break the bank and if you let it sink in for a while it will make sense.
He said she said........... it's your Nano reef, make a good decision here.

Seems the consensus is that the RW4 is too powerful for the NUVO. So that leaves the tunze 6040 not many seem to have experience with this pump.
Use the IM in streams. They are very low profile and disappear against the black bulkhead. I had mine running over two years in a Nuvo 16 and occasional vinegar soak cleans them well. IM also has a very humerous YouTube serious about maintenance. The difference between IM and others like Hydor is that they are flat.i also have them in my IM 30 l which counter act the GyreThanks, I should have mentioned that the MP10 would have been my number one but my tank is in the corner with no room behind the glass for the dry side and I dont want it on the visual sides. I looked at the spin streams also and saw mixed reviews with frequent jamming, noise, and they are quite bulky I believe in the 16 nuvo since they sit right in the middle of the tank.
Same situation for my 125 gallon tankI can blow sand around on a 90 with two rw8's and can slosh water out if I'm not careful
