Does it plate or encrust? Also any one have a pic of a grown out one?

I believe it encrusts. Check out WWC's site for a pic of a relatively grown out one. Mine is still only 1/2".

It definately encrusts, now when it gets to the edge of what it is encrusted to Im not sure if it will encrust or plate like the undata. This monti is closely related to the undata and it may plate out thick like the undata does.

The reason im asking is due to, i have one and there was a small inperfection in my frag disk that bumped up (stupid tampa bay lol) and now its starting to grow upwards slightly..

I believe it encrusts then plates. It all depends on the flow of the water over it.

It's not that small. I saw it in person. It's about 3 or 4 inches long and it's encrusted that length. It does plate out a little one the one side.

once mine encrusted over the plug it grew straight out, didnt cup up but didnt follow the plug either

good, I like the way my undata grows and I was hoping my jedi mind trick would do the same.

im pretty sure it plates, only due to the way is growing why we are on the subject whats every one putting there under flow/light?

mins is about 10 inches from my 6 bulb t5 with alot of flow, i have had this 1/4 frag for only two weeks and i can say it has almost doubled so fare
