John and Henry stopped the shop today. They are doing great. Miss everyone, John has the same phone number. Give him a call. Hope everyone is have a great summer. Our tanks have been giving us some troubles... Red algae, etc. dying corals.... Lots of water changes and prays. We are the proud parents of 2 bengal cardinals. We just notices a small cardinal in the overflow and one in the bottom of the tank. Different sizes. So some good luck and bad luck. Best reefing to all. Nancy Corlett

That's great to hear! I ran into Henry at lowes a while back and we talked for a while. I miss being able to drop by there and just talk reef for an hour or so, well usually more. :) I'll have to see if I still have Johns # and give him a ring. Sorry to hear about your troubles with your tank. It will all work out. We ALL fight that stuff from time to time. And I hate it but it's a part of this lifestyle that some call a hobby. It will come back around soon. Have a great day!

That's where I run into John and Henry periodically, too. LOL

That is so true.

A couple of my SPS colonies are going through STN right now. I got the feeling that the STN was caused by alkalinity swing. I dipped my coral just in case, but no parasites came off the corals. I neglected to check on my old CO2 regulator after a calcium media change, and I am paying for it dearly. I am afraid that I have to get a new regulator soon... In the mean time, I am contemplating on fragging my colonies since STN is still creeping up on some branches :(.

Tomako. sadly that may be your best bet. frag off what has STN'd.

I just changed my CA media. alk went from 8.5 to 10.5 in just a few days. im slowly lowering it back now.
