Here is something I was taught by Gary from Reefpets. If you have live view on your camera turn it on then hit the + button this will magnify the pic then use manual focus and then focus it in. This will really sharpen up the pics

I love that blue chaos that is awesome

Live view? I have the canon xti does it have live view? Thanks for the tip.

Yeah I dint think it has live view. A good tripod and buy the remote for the camera that is great as I try to shoot my pics in 100 iso and having a remote helps

Try using a tripod and remote, turning on mirror-lock up (you can look this up in the owner's manual), and turning off your flow. This will greatly improve the sharpness of your macro shots.

For settings, try manual mode and set ISO to 400 or 800, shutter speed to 1/30 sec, and aperture of F/8 or F/11. Play around with taking the same pic over and over, but adjusting just one of ISO, shutter speed and aperture each time, so you get an idea of the effect of changing each of these settings up. Doing this once will speed up the learning curve and really help you understand how the DSLR works.

Well have been playing and practicing and I notice it is paying of. What do you guys think?
