Kessil Lighting

I have a 60x18x24. I run 3 Kessils (2 a360s and 1 a350). I've been toying with adding a 4th one for some time but have never gotten around to it. I think you will be pretty happy with 3 a360s but you may or may not want to add supplementary light. You definitely don't need to until you've had the 360s in action for some time. I do have a black box led between 2 of the kessils this is just for extra lighting where I have some sps and I had the black box laying around not being used. While the right is slightly brighter then the left of my tank it's not that noticeable.

Dude, is that the same Euphillia in the corner in both pics? How much time is that?
No, unfortunately. Its the same coral, but the bigger hammer is before the smaller one. Had an accident and broke off the colony. So i fragged it and gave a bunch away, but kept two heads to grow it back out.

That's OK too, but always a bummer when that happens to a big colony.

I run ap700 on a 6 ft tank. Had 2 along w two 72” Reefbrights but I felt was overkill. I pulled one off and have centered w the Reefbrights. Tank is all Lps and Zoa and I have absolutely Amazing growth and killer look.

You dont get weird shadowing with just one AP700 in the middle?
No not really bad at all. I do run my Reefbrights w it most all the time though. When I had the 2 ap700 on there it was spilling light Wayy beyond tank sides. Didn’t really like that so when I pulled off and centered the one I found the kessil reaches all the way to each end quite nicely. If I didn’t have the Reefbrights I would probably have left the two ap’s. Reefbrights are insane. Love them. I initially was using them as a T-5 supplement in theory. Like them wayyy better than T-5’s. I’ve used T-5’s for many years w Halides and thought LED would never compare, but I was surprisingly convinced of the exact opposite. Growth and coloration of my Corals are better than ever. I would Never go back.

You can definitely see in that arc of light behind the tank that it's covering your whole tank, at least side to side.

For two, 4-5" off the water might've been more ideal for keeping all the light inside the tank....but sounds like it was overkill anyway. ;) ;)

I just switched to 3 A360WE's on my 60"x24"x30". Just got through discussing with @Crabs-Mcjones & will probably add 1 more for the right price. Hoping the price will drop since they just came out with A360X.
