Hi All

finally moved the tank and when assembled. It has a pretty bad leak from the drain and emergency drain. I feel like the leaks coming from the bulkhead. there are no cracks and the pipes are pretty secure.

the tank is a red sea reefer 525xl. any idea on a potential fix? I have linked a video.

Maybe the o rings need to be replaced.
I have a Red Sea reefer 250. That leak seems to be a common problem. I wish they could have just used standard bulk heads

Two things
1. Orings
2. this is the real bad one.. during the move, if you placed it flat on the bottom you could have damaged the glass where the bulkhead pipes go through.

The best way to check any of these is to take apart things and inspect. To see if there is a crack shine a bright light down the over flow looking back up from the bottom.

New Orings can be found at Marine and Reef.

Been an ongoing RS ISSUE

most likely bad o rings that needs to be replaced, they have very cheap plumbing and parts on their setups. Just be happy your silicone has not failed...yet

So, i resiliconed around the bulkhead. we check tomorrow to see if it worked. im hopeful
