I would like to hear opinions on what brand LED fixtures have the best color spectrum layout out of the box.

I plan on upgrading to LEDs soon and I am still undecided about what brand to go with.

I have been looking at the following:

~ Reef Breeders = Value fixture and Photon series
~ Evergrow = DM-155 series and IT2040

~ Ocean Revive = D120, IT2060, and Arctic-S026

Any input on these or other decently priced brands will be appreciated. Not considering any "high end" fixtures.
I'm looking to spend under $400 for led lighting for a 75g mixed reef tank, be it 1 or 2 fixtures to get full coverage.

You are going to get 10,000 different opinions. I have owned about half of them out there, AIs, Radions, Chinese, Boost LED, Maxspect, Reef Breeders and DIY

I personally like the Reef Breeders and Maxspect.

For you I would do the Reef Breeders Photon 32. I know it puts you a little over your budget but these fixtures are so easy to operate and the color is nice.

The Maxspect is very nice but you would be in the 800$ range to light the tank

I just got the R420R Maxspect Nano, and love it. Love the 6 point system to put in presets and dont have to touch it. Does everything including cloud over functions.

Have you looked at the OceanRevive site or sponsor forum here on R2R recently? D120 for $160 and Arctic S026 for $175 ($165 if you get 6 or more... think small group buy).

I had 3 of the D120's from EG over my frag tank and 55g local tank. I got an OR S026 to try over the frag tank and I like it a lot better (back when they were $210 each). it's way better looking, has a better spread of leds over the entire fixture, much less glare in a dark room, runs cooler... seriously. My D120's hardly made any heat at all, but my OR S026's never get above room temperature and the fans are dead quiet. So I go 2 more for my local tank. I'm just waiting to see what they are coming out with in the way of a fixture with a controller. I currently have 2 IT2080's over my 180g and an IT2040 over my 70g anemone tank. I love the EG fixtures, but if the OR S026 is just a basic fixture, I'll be real interested to see what they do with a built-in controller fixture!
