Hi all - I’ve had this fire fish for 5 months and he’s been great up until Saturday after a heavy pellet feeding (in an effort to raise nutrients) and a small water change. It’s almost like his swim bladder is ruptured. My parameters are:
Tank size 91 total 73 display
Temp -77-78° F
PH - 8.2
Salinity - 1.025
Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrates - 0ppm
Alk - 10.5 dKH
Calc - 450 ppm

Constipation and Swim Bladder Disorder can present the same at times. Is the fish eating? If so feed it boiled green peas with the skin removed. If it's not eating, dosing the tank or QT with 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of tank water with plain USP Epsom salts works as a laxative.

Thanks Big G. No sooner than I was about to dose Epsom salt did I see that the fish had expired. So angry with myself....
