Hey all,

First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong topic area. . . . It seems like this topic fits in multiple topics, and I didn't know which one to go with. With that being said, on with the topic!!

As many of you know I am in the process of setting up my 65 gallon Reef Tank. I have been researching what type of coral/fish I want to stock my tank with. For those of you who have more experience with reefs than what I have, I was hoping you could provide me with some advice on lighting and placement of my corals in the tank!! Here is the list of what I want in the tank (eventually)

Frog Spawn
Zoes
Mushroom
Rock Anemones
Bubble Tip Anemones
Purple Cloves
Birds Of Paradise
Acan

With that being said, this is the list of fish I want to stock the tank with as well:
Stripped Cling Fish
Twin Spot Gobby
Yellow Tang
Ruby Red Dragonette
Royal Gamma
Peppermint Shrimp
Clown Fish
Blue Hippo Tang
Bangai Cardinal
Diamond Goby
Lawnmower Goby
Emerald Crab
Mandrin

Again, for those of you who have experience with reefs can you provide a little insight on what type of lighting my corals will need, and if everything I want to put in the tank will be compatible with each other!?

Thank's in advance,

~Matt

Acans tend to like lower light so the sandbed or in some shade would be best for them. Zoas can grow all sorts of places. Mushrooms will grow anywhere so you might want to keep them on a separate rock so they don't bother other corals. I'm not sure about the others but I'm sure someone will chime in.

As far as fish, that seems like a lot for that size tank. Do you have good filtration?

Thanks for the feedback on the lighting.

Well have a 55 gallon sump system, and with what I've researched I think we have pretty good filtration set up in it!!

+1, nothing on your list will require intense light with the exception of the nem (kinda) and the bird of paradise. Frogspawn is medium - low. I'm more concerned with your fish list. Blue hippo will outgrow that tank quite fast, and you have a lot of gobies (mandarin/dragonette) in a very small space.
