Lighting while cycling advice needed

hello, ill be starting a new build when my tank comes in. Originally I was going to cycle with the lights off for about 6 weeks. Now I'm thinking I can't if I get live rock full of everything. I was planning on getting the rock from kp aquatics or live rock n reef out of Florida waters. My last tank was live rock and lights on from day one. I prefer to try and make the ugly stages not so ugly. Will I kill all of the coraline and macro algaes leaving the lights off?

You could try and leave the lights on but put something like dr tims waste away gel (or liquid) in the tank to help compete with the bad algae while not totally killing your macro or coraline.
