"Liquid GFO" dosing experience?

Curious if anyone is using or has used this product? First time I've come across it. In theory I guess it could work. They claim it is not LC but it sure does sound like what happens if you dose LC... If it is some form of iron, I'm a bit skeptic because I've had a lot of acro losses in the past while using heavy gfo and iron levels rising. Anyway this...

Been searching it since I posted this but seems to be very little info. The company is saying their product has been in use 15 years. Not very many users for that kind of time.

I'm wondering if it is just Lanthanum Chloride being falsely advertised as something it is not. Very intriguing though.
 
Ferric oxide is insoluble in alkaline environment. So I don't really see how one can pack meaningful amount of GFO in a solution.

Makes sense. I also just noticed that the link in the ad goes to an Australian website. So most likely this is a scam. If it seems too easy it probably is!!

I think one has to look at the experience of reefers to answer that, but I don't think it will be stable at high levels. It will precipitate as iron oxide, iron phosphate, etc.
 
Wouldn't the precipitated iron (phosphate) still vulnerable to bacteria scavaging. When this happens, will phosphate becomes available in the aqueous phase again?

I do not know how fast bacteria can dissolve iron phosphate, but if the iron additions are ongoing, as opposed to a one time use, then any complete release is no different than phosphate from foods, but likely much lower in concentration.
 
If it's reversible, then I think remove the precipitate is required. If not there will just be too much accumulation down the road.

Possibly, but we are not talking about a lot of mass.
