What have you done to your tank to really give it that wow factor? Livestock, diy stands, let's see what you have! I'm working on finishing up my stand by adding some doors. I love the tank more and more, but I am really looking for that wow piece inside the tank!

Slowly adding some black sand to the bottom. Was originally going to go barebottom, but decided after rock was set, to not. Filling sand in after a tank is up and running is no fun! ;)

So let's hear some suggestions and see your pieces!:D

I think its a combination of things, and not a silver bullet. Nice tank (low iron/rimless), nice stand, great aquascaping, wide array of livestock. :)

A good scape and show piece corals I think. I'm also going to add more sand to my 100g and thought to use a long pvc tube and dump the sand into the tubing so it goes straight to the bottom. Here's my favorite wow in my tank... almost 10" deresa clam

A funny thing is how relative "wow" is. For fellow reefers, Throttle's clam is most certainly a wow. But I've found the most impressive stuff to us is not necessarily so to "muggles." For example, in my old tank before it crashed (equipment failure on vacation) I had several massive SPS that were hard to grow and took a long time. My wife called them "those boring stick things." On the other hand, she thought the 8" frogspawn was amazing.

I'd say right now my only real wow are a few decorative sponges. It's hard to keep a low-nutrient tank and keep sponges happy at the same time.

My biggest "wow!" factor would have to be my bright green chalice coral with my toadstool and carpet of xenias. Its nothing special as i got a few Scolymias and Rainbow tip anenomes. I also have 2 large Hippo Tangs and a Purple Tang.

That monti in the middle will be a wow after a while. Good placement!

You can see my sponges in this pic, btw.

I think my polyp garden will eventually be its own sort of wow when it grows in.
