I had a major accident yesterday, I was doing a big maintenance day on my tank. Checking all my plumbing, cables, equipment cleaning, etc.. When I noticed one of my lines from my return pump was a little loose. So I immediately shut it off and fixed the problem. At the point of being done with it my son comes out of no where with my phone an tries to throw it in my sump. But when I reacted I pulled both of my AL hydra 52s power supply with me and they ended up in my sump. But no worries on that because everything was shut down. I hurry and dry the power supply.. Let it sit dry for a couple of hours, but no luck.. Their both dead. Now I am in need of two hydra 52 power supplies. After a depressing day of searching online for them I can't seem to find any replacements for them. Any help or suggestions?

I would definitely call ai. Don't be thrown off that their customer support is also for vortech (they merged) I bought the wrong hanging kit for my 52 and they sent me the right one free of charge. Great company!

I tried calling Ai already but I guess their closed on the weekend. And no LFS around me has them or their also closed. It's looking like I have to wait till Monday for Ai.

Those prices are CRAZY IMO for a power supply. But replacement parts always are expensive as they are low volume sellers, especially for a specialty product like aquarium lights. You can always look for a generic replacement with the same watts, amps, volts that comes with an adapter set. Probably save 50 bucks each if you can find one that works. I have done that before for laptops.

Also you can give it more time. I have dealt other electronics that hit water. In my experience it takes about 24 hours before they start working again. Most recently my GF cellphone. 6 hours didn't work, 12 hours didn't work, 18 hours... worked. She was convinced it was dead and in full panic mode. I told her to just wait. Sure enough she went to bed and it worked next day.

I seen those.. But I don't know if that's the actual picture of it because it looks nothing like my current burnt ones.

I think for that one I'm going to have to speak to Ai. That one look just like the one for my hydra 26. I'll post a picture on the hydra 52.
