Looking to add a manifold to my reefer 350. Simple design to feed a brs carbon and gfo reactor. Plan to put a ball valve on the return section to add some back pressure for the reactor . Looking at a core 20 or reef octo varios 6 . Do you think those 2 pumps would be good choices for this design?

@Water Dog recommended to me to get a Fluval SP6 for my tank I my first thought was a "Fluval". Now that I have one that replaced my Reeflo Dart/Hammerhead hybrid I see why. I have only been running it for a short time, but it moves some water and is whisper quiet. You chould likely get away with a Fluval SP4 for that tank. No need to have a DC pump either unless that is the route you absolutely want to go. I have had great luck with AC pumps just running for a long time and hope the same occurs with the FLuval SP6. The Fluvals also consume much less electricity than other AC pumps that I see out there. They are more in line with DC pumps than AC pumps when it comes to electricity. Plus they aren't super expensive and can get them from Amazon pretty quickly too.
