I have heard about clownfish hosting corals, but this is the first time I have had to “deal” with it personally. My maroon clown has decided to host my Duncan coral. The clown is new to the tank and has only been in for a little over a month. I do have a BTA in the tank at the same height/light/flow as the Duncan but the BTA is at the opposite side of the tank. (Smaller tank 28gal)
My concern/ question is will this eventually kill the Duncan I have grown it from a 2head to about 12 this past yr?
How do I encourage the clown to go to the BTA?
Should I just leave well enough alone and let “nature” take its course?

It's possible the Duncan starts to become irritated. Move it to the other side of the tank and the clown might not follow, I did this with my maroon and it worked. He was causing the Duncan heads to not fully expand.

I’m prob gonna keep my eye on it for now. The Duncan doesn’t seem to mind too much. Still opens up fully. If that start to change I’ll have to rethink my options.

Try target feeding the anemone only for a few days. A hungry Maroon is gonna want that food.

Just an update.
So the maroon finally found the BTA yesterday. I actually didn’t do anything and just let the tank be. He must have had to fight for the area of the tank Bc both him and my Purple dottyback had a few fin nips but both seem to be healing up pretty fast. I’ll try to post a pic tomorrow. Thanks again for everyone’s advice.
