I have been in the hobby for a year now but this question felt to me like one that belongs in this forum.

What are the possible causes of micro bubbles?
Interestingly enough they often get worse when my skimmer is shut down for the feed cycle.

I am a big fan of the Monkeynaut. Drinking one right now.
Could be bubbles from skimmer carrying over in the sump on the return?

I havent had a beer from Strait to Ale that wasnt amazing.

I am actually wondering what mechanism could be happening that causes way more bubbles when the skimmer turns off.

If it's a sump setup, you could add some rubble rock to it and that will reduce them. Just make sure to rinse it really well.

I am having a problem with micro bubbles as well. I am new to saltwater. My sump doesn't have baffles so I think this is the reason. Any ideas of what to do as my tank is up and running and I'm too lazy to add baffles to the sump at this point.

I am having the same issue. It's annoying. I believe the reason this is happening in my tank is because my sump doesn't have baffles. Without adding baffles to the sump any quick fixes?
