Help... So I just set up my new 240! I'm so excited! Built my Owen sump its a 55 gallon and I did do a bubble trap, but the little things just plow right past it. Can anyone give me any ideas?

sure, give your tank a couple days to settle, they should clear up once your sump has a slime coating.

You know that does sound like a good thought. The tank has been running a few weeks and has cycled. Just a few days ago I got the sump going. Today the micro bubbles were everywhere. So I probably just worring too much. Thanks

How is your bubble trap? It should be Over > under > over. If the space between the baffles is too narrow, then the water moves too fast and the bubble trap doesn't work. Try using a filter sock on your intake to reduce splashing. I'd pass on the bio balls.

The bubbles have stopped on their own! I built my bubble trap just as you said. Got up this morning and they had all stopped. The bubble trap is working perfectly now!
