So any help is appreciated. I’m going to redo my scape using nyos reef cement. I plan on adding about 30lb of more rock. Will microbacter start xlm keep my amonia and nitrites down long enough to establish? Would really hate for my coral to kick the bucket. I plan on moving all coral to a bucket and draining about 75% of the tank. Pulling most the rock and hardscaping. Refill and dose microbacter at about 25% recommended dose for a few days.

I used xlm for cycling my rocks in a bucket, and found that whenever I added bacteria (as per the instructions) nintrites jumped up for a day or two, and then went back down. Was told this is normal and expected.
