My tank is extremely cloudy from adding live sand. It doesnt gi away very well. It has been days. If you do anything to the sand or particles which settled, it clouds again. Does anyone know of a filter sock which has smaller pores to filter out the cloud? I just need to run it for a day or something to get all of the small bits out. I have a feeling it is hurting my livestock as well. Freshly cycled and ammonia nitrite and nitrate are all at 0. 8dKh, approx 7.8-8.0 ph I think. Thanks!

So a problem arrises. Flow rate through a micron filter sock (no big deal I can just turn the return on and off if I need)... what micron size at least for the particles?!

Ooh, post the link! :D

(I'd still probably go with the 10 though, at least at first.)

Thanks. I bet if I used those 1 micron socks in my heavily stocked mature tank, they'd last maybe a hour or two before overflowing. Or maybe they'd just overflow immediately.

Just looked it up. Most of the phyto. Some is actually smaller

The one I got is 7 inches btw, so no overflow for a while at least. Update on it: got it in the mail and it's actually pretty amazing. I actually might go for the 1 micron one to polish water every now and then but it removed my cloudiness
