Purchased what was listed as new on eBay rec’v it not new missing the distilled water, calibration fluid and pipettes k not end of world. Was so excited to use it as read many good reviews online but for two days now I can’t get it to give a good reading. I watched some YouTube vids on calibrating and operating s/b “simple” to use but not so simple I’m finding anyway. I calibrated using rodi water showing 1.000 which supposed to then tried “reading” a tank water sample AND then used refractometer cal solution just to be sure and keeps reading 1.000 hoping I’m just dumbing myself to death here and didn’t get a bad unit. Anyone that might have some suggestions I’d greatly appreciate it and thank you .

Looks like it's a broken unit.

If the seller won't respond, have eBay intervene or call your credit card company.

Doesn’t sound new, for that alone you can ask for a refund as it’s missing parts, I would ask for a full refund if no joy put a claim in with eBay straight away as you only have so long to claim.

Thank you. It's weird sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I messaged the seller again and said "Hi, if this unit if defective and you were aware of it please just let me know so I can move on". They responded that as far as they knew it worked fine. IDK another frustrating Ebay purchase/lesson learned. Should of just spent another 20 bucks and got a brand new one (course I didn't see the sale was going on at saltwater aqaurium.com till too late). 9 out of 10 times whenever I try to calibrate the unit with RODI water and or distilled water press the "zero" button screen reads/shows "Lo". Sometimes if I unplug battery for a good 20 seconds, plug back in it'll calibrate or give a good reading. Emailed Milwakuee twice for help but never got a response.
