Just waiting for the sand/rocks and the sump.

I got the same tank but drilled it and put in a gl*******sdot com overflow. I hated the overflow, the noise and gurgling. I too am getting a Radion. I run a Octo cone skimmer, carbon and bio-pellt reactors in a 15 gallon sump below.

Great pics and GL with build. I am in the process of a 60gl build too and I am super excited. It is a custom 4-sided starphire.

Just curious. I noticed a different configuration on the drain and return from the typical bottom mounted/drilled assembly. Is this a newer way to plumb a drain and return through the back wall? Is it like a Herbie drain? I went with the traditional Durso standpipe and put a ballvalve on the drain to quiet it down.

Anyway.....GL with tank.

Its just the way the did it on the 60's. I believe the bigger cubes are drilled in the bottom. I think the bottom of this one is tempered

Sweet build. Can't wait to see those lights setup with the vortechs.

It's going to be a tight fit in that stand with the sump and all. Should I paint the inside of the stand white to brighten it up a bit or just leave it? Will it make that much of a difference?

Looking good you said you were waiting on your sump to arrive, what kind are you going with. Lots of sweet equipment going on in this build, hope to see water in it soon. Will be following along to see how you like the lights.
