Mobius App - Connection Timeout

Add another to the tally. Just got back from a few days away and can’t log in either. In the past this would last a few tries and I’d get in. Tonight I have been able to get in twice but the second I close the app I’m out again.

Agree with everyone. For the premium price we pay you’d think there would be ANY kind of word from the manufacturer. Instead we get radio silence.

I have an iPhone and it was running 15.5 version, see if you guys running iPhones can instal 15.6 iPhone system. I just updated my phone and now my mobious logs in.

What can we buy as far as lighting, power heads, pumps etc that is as good or better that has better app control, reliability and service then ecotech? I’m ready to sell and start over! Please advise
Sell? That's funny!! I doubt anyone will buy wright now with all these issues unless you can find someone that does not read these threads or know about the issues.

I think he means NOT an ecotech product. Im moving to Neptune wav i think. Will just throw these expensive paper weights in a box. If you cant control them consistently and 100% reliable then they are a liability

*sigh* I just experienced the same issue. Seems intermittent, tried like 15 times didn't work, then it worked, log out to try again, stopped working.

Why does any of this NEED app control?

Physical controllers are still the best way to go. Hit feed mode and done. We could even debate feed mode and how pointless it really is except for very rare circumstances.

My MP60s were never going on Mobius even before these issues started up. What does it do that I actually NEED?

The lights should never have been built to be totally dependent on an app either.

Many "advancements" in the hobby over the last 10 years haven't really benefited our animals in any way. They've just put money in the pockets of those willing to market/lie about the next latest and greatest.

The app is fine the question is why does an app need to talk to a sever for a light that is Bluetooth only.

Well I've spent like the last 2 hours trying to log into Mobius but no luck. Good thing I've got shows to watch but come on I paid almost $500 CAD for this shouldn't it have decent support?

How many companies are open on Sunday providing instant service?

This thread was started a week ago suggesting there have been problems for seven days and appears to be a recurring issue. But, fair is fair, I'll reserve judgement until Tuesday. Hopefully this doesn't take too long to fix...

Its been the entire day for me. Can't do anything with Mobious.

Kessil lights, Hydros controller to control Ecotech devices

iPhone users turn the phone off and back on …worked here.
Unless they finally fixed their problem.

Ok. But it isn’t needed for the device to function.

It shouldn't be and Ecotech should be implementing a function like Hydros where local control is available through Bluetooth. No wifi needed.

My source (who is very reliable) says Ecotech is rewriting the entire app to fix all the annoying little issues that pop up. Should it have taken this long? Absolutely not. Should people completely give up on Ecotech? If they want to, sure. Hopefully they sell all their stuff cheap if it's broken though.
