Mobius App - Connection Timeout

Ecotech is Bluetooth, got rid of Neptune. I guess I need to keep my systems straight. Disregard prior reply.
 
The app still comes up quickly with all info and doesn’t have a problem here. I use it daily during feed times. I use Mobius and hydros apps daily. Mobius has had the least problems in my case. Kessil app works great also.
 
Me too it just started happening again for me today as I logged in last night just fine. My wifi is working fine and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and still get the connection timeout. Gotta love the junk Mobius app.
 
Same. Can't login. Is there a way to manually change settings without having to connect to their server? Why do we need internet connection to change settings?

I kept trying and litterally just got in. After closing the app I tried going back in again and got the connection error after modifying the settings. May just have to keep trying to login several times until it lets you in.
 
I'm not sure if my issue is the same as what's described here. (XR30 G5 Pros x 2) I never had any issues prior and although it may not have had that refined feel to it, until recently, Mobius has been fairly flawless. Now it's near useless.

When I open Mobius it opens ok and although it seems a bit slow, it will list all the devices and display the flow of the MP40's. The issue for me starts when I try to get into the light settings. The blue circle swirls around a bit but instead of showing the 'edit' button in the center it will come up with "couldn't load settings" and a cancel & retry button.

All this seemed to start shortly after the G6 release. @Tim at EcoTech can you shine any light on these problems?? PLEASE!? I can't change my lighting! I can't update my lights! Now several characters of the serial number are displayed as a diamond with upside down question mark.

Yes, set and forget...unless you were attempting to slowly increase par and suddenly found the only way to access your lights was to delete them from the tank via factory reset and re-add them. Doing that erases all the settings. I did restore the daylight conditions, except I forgot about ramp-up/down and the moon lighting. I could start all over again but why should I have to do that every time I want/need to make a change?! :disappointed-face:

That's exactly what mine does. I called a week ago and had Tim on the phone and he wouldn't even work with me to correct the problem, he just sent me trouble shooting tips through email, which didn't help.
 
It’s Ecotech, my app works fine usually. I also do not have their lights anymore. I just checked, Mobius won’t let me sign in and it seems to be froze.
 
I've tried everything else. I can only get in the one time after the remove/add. Funny thing is when the error window pops up you can see the edit button and the correct time setting in the back ground.

It's hard to say if it has anything to do with it but the last time it was working right I saw a nice new slider for Kelvin and decided to try it. Made setting the spectrum real simple.
 
Is there a way to remove the MP40 from mobius control? Frankly I am tired of it and would rather go back to using the physical controller.

Luckily I can over ride Mobius with the Hydros app to turn their products off and on during feeding, when Mobius app doesn’t respond. What’s with Ecotech lately? Hopefully they’re fixing their issues!
 
When I emailed Ecotech this last week, they confirmed they were doing maintenance last weekend when these same problems started happening.

I would assume they're doing some kind of maintenance again
 
omg me too. picked the wrong day to tune my Versa ....again. Happened last weekend too.

Clearly this is a flaw in the design here. I shouldn't have to have access to work with my pumps. They should have redundancy and fault tolerance with this. I will probably never buy another Ecotech product.
