Hi all - looking for some Monti help.
I’ve had this little guy for about 1-2 months now.
Initially he seemed to transition well but lately he seems to be bleaching in different areas. The bleaching heals and then comes back in a different spot.

My Params seem ok to me but my Phos has been up and down a bit lately.

PO4: .06 (was .16 the other day)
Nitrates: 18
Dkh: 8.4
PH: 8.2
Salinity: 1.026
Temp: 25 - 25.4

all of my Params are ‘when measured’. I don’t have a computer on this tank.

I do blow off detritus 1-2 times a day but I try to be gentle so as to not damage tissue.

it’s about 2/3 of the way down the tank. I’m guessing Par ranges between 80-140 ish. The range is due to the shimmer from the kessil a500x and surface agitation.

How's the flow in that area? Are there any other corals in the tank and how are they fairing? Phos is definitely higher than preferred. Montis are more tolerant but heavy swings can always be stressful.

It’s not the strongest in that area. I did buy 2x Maxspect XF330’s - but I only have 1 in the tank (as it’s a small tank) - and it runs at 10-20%.
I might be able to move it to the other side of the tank where it would get greater flow.
I have a chalice frag, a large dragon soul favia colony, a decent sized Goni, a rainbow Acan, a Aussie golden torch, a hammer and another Favia. And a GSP.

The Torch has been receding lately - but it also has a parasite at its base I’ve been removing. This has steadily improved its health to the point where it doesn’t look like it’s receding anymore, and the second Favia is almost dead. It has two horrible holes bored through it by some sort of parasite on the back (it came that way - it was bought site unseen) which I’ve since killed. So far it looks like the coral health issues are largely due to parasites except the Monti - but it is the most sensitive coral I have I would say.
