Hello, I am a relatively new fish keeper and I am becoming incresingly frustrated with the hobby. Half the fish in my tank have died under mysterious conditions. I have had my golden dwarf moray for 2 months and he has been fine... up until 2 weeks ago. He has been having "seizures" where his head starts twitching then he goes out of control. I brought in a Puffer that was behaving normally then started swimming upside down and some of the skin turned into a dark color. He died shortly after that. And 2 days after he died my eel started having the seizures. Every LFS person I ask say I shouldn't worry blah blah blah. And then the fish dies within a week. Anyway I can save him? I still have an unopened box of Prazipro (I got it for my other fish before it died).

Any chance for a video of the moray? Normally I'd say head twitching is pretty common and can be caused by a number of reasons but the fact that everything else died has me a bit concerned something more sinister is at play-- parasite, disease? Morays have a very thick slime coat and can ward off many a parasite but they are susceptible nonetheless. I refer back to @Humblefish to help determine whether a parasite/disease is the issue.

If external parasites are ruled out, head twitching is often a neurological issue from lack of vitamin B and can be corrected by soaking food in vitamins- Selcon, Zoe, Zoe-Con, Vita-Chem...

If your new ,do you have test kits to test your water?Ammonia, nitrites. How old is your set up.And how many gallons

I've been testing the water, and the voltage is fine I have 3 other fish in there besides the moray. They would be acting up too if there was something was up with the water or electricity. It's 90 gallons, little more than 3 months old, and it's a golden dwarf moray that is 7 inches long. I am going to try to soak the food in vitamins because he's being fed nothing but frozen krill and squid. Other than that it may be a disease, infection, or parasite, I'll try to get a video if it gets worse

I don't think your tank is fully cycled. How did you cycle your tank?. Do a large water change, and run some activated charcoal in your filter.Just incase your puffer released some toxins in the water when it died. This could be a myth about the toxins wether puffers release toxins or not when they die. Better safe than sorry.Besides, a big water change and activated charcoal will help if there is something wrong with your water.

The time the tank has been up did not include the cycling. We cycled for a month and a half maybe, and if you include that it's been 4-5 months. The pufferfish was really sick (we got it and it died a day after) and we didn't qt it. I have a pic of the eel, I think he looks pretty normal

New here too. I avoided puffer fish, because I read they gave off toxins (Tetrodotoxin) when they die. The toxin is a neuro toxin.

Gill flukes and trophonts in gills won't be visible. Not saying either is the issue but both will cause head twitching.

I wonder if the puffer spell any type of toxins before died, I heard that when they are bother or feel afraid or something they spell toxin that are poisonus into the water and can kill a whole tank but the water should be check and change , how many gallons is your tank? You shouldn't get discorouge this is some of the things that every hobbist goes thru but I should of being concern at the water right now or any type of parasite infection.

You said you had fish pass for mysterious reasons. You came on her for help from others. We need to start by getting your water parameters to start honing in on the issue and determine if it is water chemistry or parasites. Please test your water or have it tested. Salinity, temperature , Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate would be a good starting point.
