Morphed eagle eyes

I popped off a huge colony of cats eyes today that was shadowing everything out. Underneath there were some eagle eyes and a couple of them changed to be almost all yellow. I assume it’s just lack of light but others right next to them kept their original colors. They are getting blasted with light now so we’ll see if they turn orange again.
