Any time I have had to move a wrasse, I tried to wait till night time and it was buried. If the wrasse is one that does not bury in sand to sleep, I have left a net in the tank for a few hours, fed the fish right above the net, and scooped out the fish while it was eating.
Also if moving the tank, are the rocks and sand coming out? If so, take your time taking them out and you may be able to easily catch the wrasse in open or low water.
Sadly, there will be stress involved with a wrasse when moving it, especially if they are skittish.
Also, when do you all plan to move the tank? If it is after we have the reef club meet, I can bring you some foam coolers to the meet to use for the move if you need them.
