I just bought an mp10 for my 30x30 cube and I am wondering what is the consensus on what area of the glass is the optimal location.

I am using nutrient transport mode.

I also have a koralia evo 1450 in the tank.

It is a corner tank with lps and sps.

Also thoughts on placing the koralia would be helpful.

if possible in IMO I would put the koralia in the back of the tank shooting towards the front and i would place the mp 10 on the side of the tank on short or long pulse mode to create a random current.
Any body else?

Agreed, thats what I'd do.

Isn't nutrient export mode designed for use with multiple Vortechs?

For my 2 x MP40s, I use a variety of modes throughout the day. Reef Crest during the day, then to Lagoon mode, then to 40% constant for the night.

Can you program the ecosmart to change modes and percentages automatically or do you have to manually change them?

How high in the tank should the mp10 be?

Centered on the glass? Or in a corner/side?

I can put the koralia in back. It will be high in the tank because of rock work.

The only way you can is to use a controller that does it for you. I use an Apex with the WXM module and can schedule it out during the day. Using other modes like Lagoon and Reef Crest will give you the ability to vary the flow throughout the day though.

The MP10 can still provide plenty of flow, and needs to be down a bit to prevent sucking air from the surface. Mine did that until I moved it down several inches. I'd say put in the middle of the tank if rock isn't preventing it so you get flow in as much area as you can.
