So I have two mp10wqd on my reefer 170 and I think I have something set wrong. I want them set on reef crest. Right now one ramps up and the other does the exact opposite. So they just go up and down the opposite of the other pump. Shouldn't the be totally random? Do I have them set up wrong?

We've been playing around lots with reefcrest mode this weekend on our 2 MP40s. I'm def not an expert but happy to share what we've found!

Are you using ecosmart live? Do you have one pump set on anti-sync to the other one? The reefcrest should show as a yellow light on the controller, and with anti-sync mode on the other one, as one goes up, the other comes down.

I think if you want them both totally random and not linked you need to set them independently both on reefcrest rather than one on reefcrest and one on slave anti-sync.

You have the slave set up in anti-sync mode. If you want them totally random you need to set them both up on RC (no slave) but (assuming you are using EcoSmart live) you also need to stagger the start times by one minute. If you start them at the exact same time, they stay synced together.

I don't have a reeflink. So if they are set as master and slave they will only ramp up and down. Opposite of each other? Anyone have suggestions on how they run their pumps?

If you don't have the RL just set the slave pump to RC and run them independently.

So then they just aren't set as slave and master correct? Just two pumps set on rc
