So I’m in S. Florida prepping for the storm and the possibility of losing power. Grabbed the battery from my jet ski and will use that!
On the MP40’s drivers....barrel connector, which side is positive? Inside or outside

20 awg minimum, unless you can find an amp rating on that cable.
Try your cable at low speed, after 10 minutes, check the wires for heat.
If cool try at high speed and repeat test.
Kind of an emergency.

Became a U fan myself in the late 80’s/pre teens just to spite my Notre Dame loving family! Have been along for the ride ever since.

The username and Avatar caught my eye but wish you well in S Florida!

2 to 3 amps should be enough, the ecothech specs say 9 to 38 watts.
You also need to verify the wire can carry that amperage.
What size power supply did it come off of?

In battery backup mode it runs at ~10% of that max output you referenced. Under 10 watts.

So no power loss yesterday!!!
Even went to the LFS early in the day to buy a battery power air pump for the QT.
Gotta figure how to permanently mount all this and make look nice!

@Scurry...yeah! 80's and 90's those were messing fun years to be a UM fan!
Went many time to the old OB (Orange Bowl)...was at the last game with that blowout lost to Virginia!
