I currently have two set-ups running, a 12 gallon JBJ and MiniBow 7.

12 JBJ:

Equipment:

*50 watt Hydor heater
*Surface Skimmer
*~12-15lbs of live rock and live sand
*Custom media basket-made out of egg crate

Livestock:

You all may need to help me identify what I miss. You'll be able to see the pics.

* 3 Scarlet hermit crabs
* The rest is soft coral that I know some names to, but I'm sure you all will better know when you see the pictures.

Enjoy!

I never got around to posting some pictures of my tank so figured I might as well start now and here. I really enjoy watching other's nanos. Let me know if you have suggestions.

I finally figured out how to post the pics thanks to the beginners forum lol. Enjoy.

Update...I broke down the 7 gallon in favor of a frag tank that I probably won't take pics of for a long while.

I also bought a Miami Hurricane chalice to add to my chalice garden. I love those chalices.

I wish you all could better see my Emeralds on Fire in the back there. I recently moved them up in the column and they're acclimating to the light...which is a 90 watt LED on a 12 gallon JBJ!!

The stone coral in this pic will be leaving the tank soon I think into the frag tank. I'm unsure if a two bulb t5 can support it though. Any thoughts?

This is an un-named chalice I picked up a few weeks ago. I really wish my camera was better so you could really grasp its true color. None of the pics do the chalices justice.

Very nice so far keep them coming 90 watts is up there but nicely done

It was a free gift and I really wanted to use it. The Electric green palys didn't like it at first but the chalices are lovin it.

Gorgeous nanos!! Thanks for sharing!!

Looks great and your corals look very happy! :D

Truthfully I'm really surprised they're so happy under such an intense lighting system. It was something I won't do again, but I actually get really great growth.

I'm purchasing an AI sol nano from a fellow r2r member soon and it will be going over this 12 gallon and the AquaUfo will go over the frag tank since it grows the corals so well.

Here's some updates. I rearranged the placement of coral for better comparability and moved some things into the frag tank.

Enjoy! And leave suggestions or comments!

Here are some updates. I rearranged the rock to better accommodate scrubbing and a few corals.

Traded in my frogspawn for an orange plate coral...plus some money since they're expensive.

The plate took only a half hour to fully open. Very happy it likes my tank.

Pretty much a place to grow out and sell as well as take care of flatworms etc.

I haven't updated this thread in a while and a good bit has changed with new additions, clearing out and just beginning to dabble in some SPS.

Let me know what you all think and suggest!!

First tank is my 12 gallon main DT. It's been running for nearly 2 years now.

Equipment:
-AI nano
-Theo 100 watt heater (not a great heater)
-Chemipure Elite in first chamber on top of a sponge-both sitting on top of egg crate so as to allow detritus to not be clogged up in the very bottom.
-Stock return pump. I did upgrade to a MJ-600 but went back to stock once I added a orange plate coral. The flow seemed just too much for it. What do you all think?

It's mostly full of frags. I'll be letting most everything grow into each other...all that can at least.

The inhabitants of the 12 gallon JBJ are one cryptic wrasse, one true percula with black dorsal and puzzle piece white strips (wish I could get better pics of him), one peppermint shrimp for aptastia, and one Nass. Snail.

The next tank is a 7.5 gallon deep blue rimless that is a mixture of a display and a place to keep other corals I didn't want to sell.

-90 watt AquaUfo led
-50 watt hydor theo heater
-AC 30 HOB
-hydor 250 power head
-inhabited by on pepp. Shrimp and blue legged hermit crab

Forgot to mention. In this tank I'm trying a Bali Green Slimer. Seems to be doing well with the power head and placement in the water column. The LEDs aren't helping with its color though.

In the 12 gallon I have the blue stag I'm sure you saw. It's quickly growing on me...no pun intended! Hope they both do well but I'm sure color will be an issue with the LEDs. Perhaps not with the AI NANO though.

Enjoy!

It's been a while since I've updated this thread so figured I'd plop some stuff here.

I recently put everything into one 20 long tank, and just haven't been ready to put it up on here as most everything was kinda mad from being moved.

Equipment:

*24 inch Odyssea 4-bulb T5
*100 watt Hydor heater (100 watt Marineland as backup-crappy little things)
*1 Hydor powerhead - 500 gph I believe it is
*1 Hydor nano - 450 gph
*~15-20lbs of live/dead rock (may have a phosphate problem later on as the dead rock was from another tank I had a number of years ago....so far the algae hasn't taken over the tank in the past few weeks so we'll see.)
*10 gallon sump w/ ASM mini-G skimmer

Please excuse some zaos that aren't open. I recently upgraded all bulbs to Gieseman...still acclimating. The tank is still a bit untidy, but in the next few months that will change.
