I am going to try and set the rock back up in the same arrangement. It wouldn't look the same if you did it as the rock would be different. I was mainly going for multi tiered and lots of places for coral. On my 75 I made some mounds but I have a lot of surface area that's not usable as the coral wouldn't be in the light.

I treated the rock with muriatic acid today. It made a nasty soup but didn't really change the rock that much. I did the first round about 10 minutes as it was bubbling so much brown stuff I had visions of my rock being dissolved. I rinsed it and the second time let it soak for about 30 minutes.

I managed to plumb the sump but I didn't take any pictures... I'm going to leak test everything and run the pump and drain to see what kind of noise this thing puts out before I throw the salt water to it.

I plumbed the sump, return, and drain. I am not happy with the overflow yet. It is still too noisy. I have a piece of airline tubing with a valve on it and have been trying to tune it without much success.

Just an open pipe? I am currently using a stockman style standpipe. I figured I would try it first. I have a dc return pump and I am thinking about wiring a float switch into my overflow that will shut off the power to the pump if water floats it (one of the tunze style magnetic float switches). I don't have my hose installed in this picture.

You could shorten the pipe and put a gate valve on the drain line.

Tightening the valve will control the water level in the overflow.

Completely submerse the pipe in your overflow for a full siphon. It will be silent.

It's wet!

I "though" I was getting the same sand I have in my 75 and biocube.... This stuff is a lot finer and I'm not sure it's gonna stay. I am going to give it a whirl though as I don't want to waste 40lbs of sand.

Looks really good,....your aquascape has created the perfect place for a show piece lps!

I have been looking for the right stick. I have green, blue, purple, and orange. I'd like to find a pink and yellow or some with other really contrasting colors to mount up top.

I got some more plumbing done and I am quickly running out of room. I am going to mount my dosing pumps on the left hand side, however I am going to have to find room for the containers. I would like to use some kind of refugium for pod raising but I haven't figured that out yet either.

Oh and I have to mount my Reefkeeper control panel and module (won't move it until livestock goes in)...

I have been dosing Dr Tim's ammonia every 2-3 days when I remember, and instant ocean Bio Spira. Haven't had any ammonia register after 24 hours of dosing. I'm not running a light and not getting any diatoms, or anything else growing. I have a slab of marine pur in my 75g that I will move over the next day or two. Probably perfectly safe to put livestock in there but I am going to wait a couple more weeks.

I'm pretty pleased with how this tank looks. Not thrilled about the plumbing. Seems I have to mess with it every couple days. Grows zoa's like a boss for some reason.
